Korean Lens (Geo CM902)

2015... Its a brand new year,,,
And I have a review on the latest colored lens from Korea... The biggest circle colored contact lens in Korea - The Geo series.

There are a lot of reviews and a lot of wearers have nothing but praise for these lens! Yes. It is very hazel in color. At times, it has that tinge of green and light brown. I would have to add, it is much lighter than Freshlook Colorblends Hazel. 

I would say the color is very natural, unless someone literally comes into your personal space. It is not as comfortable as some of the Geo lenses that I've wore. These lens are generally okay, better than Freshlook Colorblends when it comes to comfort.

Maxim Contact Lens - Hazel

For the month of September, I tried on the Maxim Contact Lens - Hazel...

The color is very subtle and its safe to use for work... But I had problems with these set of lens. Apparently, I can only wear it for a few hours and it started to itch like crazy!

I concluded that these lens could be defects and I was so disappointed!

These lens have the enlargement effect which I like. Its only 14.2mm but its properties are good enough for those enlargement which I need.

I am only sad and appalled that I could only wear these lens for 2 days and it started to itch really crazy that I had to take it out and my eyes started to turn red. Bummer.

These what the lens look like and the blue box! SO SO SO disappointed with the defects but I will be definitely grab again one of these for work purposes! Its a very nice dark brown color.. I won't called it hazel though...

Maxim Contact Lens - Cocoa!

I will say this again... I AM a huge fan of MAXIM contact lens! They are super COMFORTABLE and, most of the colors are gorgeous... I won't say all, but most...

Here's a review on the big eyes (blue box) lens in cocoa!

I love the cocoa color. It looks subtle, but it has that kind of enhancement effect which I like. Its not like in your face kind, and I feel that it looks better than Freshkon brown series... The colors do show off in ordinary lightings...

Over exposed picture, but you get it. It looks lighter when there's more light...

As you can see, the up-closed picture looks kinda pink or orangey. I have to admit, it does appear orange tinted on my eyes... But I have to say, it looks very nice! The limbal rings are there to enhance your eyes and it does give a slight enlargement which I like.

Overall, I LOVE these lenses. Yes, it is comfortable. It is so comfortable that I can wear it as long as 10 hours straight. I don't have to use any eye drops!

The design of the lens are quite alright, but the colors are very gorgeous!

In Big Color Eyes - GRAY!

This is probably the most decent shot after several takes, in very bright lighting. I had to use the light that is shinning outside from my house.

I can't remembered when I had these. Its probably very long time ago. And the main reason why I didn't do the review any sooner, because I find that the color is very boring and not that obvious.

This is probably how it looks like, at the most natural set of lighting. Very safe if you want to wear this at work!

Of course, I am a huge fan of MAXIM contant lens because it is SO COMFORTABLE! I can wear this for more than 8 hours and it does not even stick to my eye balls! And I don't even need to use eye drops.

The only flipside is the color. I really think that its just TOO dark for my liking.

For enlargement wise, its only 14.0, but I feel it makes my iris slightly bigger. So, i'm okay with the size. Here's a close up.

That's the pattern, and it has quite an obvious limbal ring. That's why your eyes will look slightly bigger! But I swear, the color is not really that obvious!

Will I buy these again? Probably when I start working next year. But for color enhancement wise, NOPE.. I'll rather choose grey lens that are more obvious like FRESHLOOK colorblends.

Green lens

So, I bought these lens way back this year. I can't remember when exactly but I was in Batam.

I can't remember how much it cost, but what I like abt the lens is because of the color as well as the details of the lens at the limbal rings... It has SPIKES at the edges of the lens. LOVE it!

That's the brand - Qrious.

I really love the color and it looks amazing! Its very vibrant and the color suits my skin tone a lot!
BUT, the comfort level is so ANNOYING! I wore it for 4 hours and it hurts like a bitch!

I remembered I was out the other day and the lens keep shifting and ended up hurting my right eye that I had to take it out! ANNOYING much!

So, yes.. This is probably why I don't trust contact lens that does not have a substantial branding... Sucks to the max!

Eye Candy - Bulle (Blue Grey) Review

I MANAGED to grab these babies way back in March 2013 and are using it currently.

If you are one of those who fancy those cute little black spikes on their contact lens, THESE babies are for you! The design is SO UNIQUE and it looks so natural in the eyes!!!

Look how gorgeous and subtle when I wear it!!!... and the COLOR is awesome! I would say, its more towards the "blue" side, but when you take pics with flash, it will turn out more "grey"....

It is made of Silicone Hydrogel and according to many website, it is one of the most comfortable colored lenses material out there!

But for me, I think my eyes don't really suit Silicone Hydrogel. Maybe I'm slightly allergic to it, because my eyes will look red after a few hours of wear. It starts off with extreme comfort, but after a few hours, I will notice blood shots on my eyes and I will be forced to take it out!

So far, FRESHLOOK colorblends has the same problem too! Freshlook uses phemfilcon A and I will have blood shot eyes if I wear it inside the air con room!

Funny, cos I don't experience any redness on my eyes when I used Geo lenses.

So I can't really tell and rate this product nor can I give a good review on these lenses, cos I can only wear it for a max of 4-5 hours! But as for comfort wise, it is COMFORTABLE, but I will notice blood shot in my eyes after 5 hours.

As for the color and design, I ABSOLUTELY ADORE it!... I LOVE the color and the black tiny spikes! It makes it so unique! Even my friends compliment that the lens look gorgeous!

Geo Circle Lens from Korea!

So I believed Geo Nudy Soul is quite the latest range that has come out from the Geo Medical Contact Lens family because I don't see much reviews or write ups from these models.

And I've decided to try Geo Nudy Soul - in Choco Brown (AN A44). I thought I will be starting my working adult life that soon, so I was hoping to have a colored lens that its not too obvious and in your face.

So this is what it looks like in the promotion ads. Its hard to find reviews for these lenses. Even youtube does not have any features on Geo Nudy Soul series. So when I got these babies way back in January 2013, I was so excited when I saw the color!

It looks very light now doesn't it! I always wanted to have a lighter shade of brown for my dark eyes. Let's go on with the specification.

Though these lenses stated that its "yearly" ones, but I don't think its yearly. Cos I had those in kiwi green (check out my reviews) and I only used it for about 2 months or so. SO I DOUBT its a yearly brand.

Just like the kiwi green, its comfortable and I can wear it for more than 7 hours daily without my eyes feeling dry. But for color wise, I am not sold! Its not as light as I want it to be!

When I take photos, it does not appear too obvious, unless its a close head shot! But I can guarantee that it is very safe work work! You can wear these babies without fearing that your boss or supervisor will keep staring at your eyes and feel something amiss or you will conscious about your eyes being too NOTICEABLE!

My friends noticed the change of my eye colors but its not a very BOLD, dramatic colors like I used to have, like my favourite Maxim Kiwi green or Freshkon Cool green which is very opaque and light!

As for enlargement wise, it works well for me since its 14.2 as my iris is so small! My eyes look instantly bigger, more awake and attractive.

SO YES! I will highly recommend these babies if you are working and you do not want to have your bosses or supervisors staring at your eyes, or you feel subconscious about how you would look.

It does not have a super ENLARGING circle lens effect, but to me, I don't need those. SO if you are looking for those doll eyed, huge enlargement, these ARE NOT for you.

Does it look natural looking? Not if someone is in your personal space. From far, it looks okay. The pattern is quite subtle, but like I've mentioned, the color is not that light to begin with.

Will I purchase these again? Probably not! Cos I prefer a much lighter color. Still trying to find the right "brown" pair of colored lens which suit my skin tone.

Geo Nudy Soul vs Maxim Colors Contact

Korean brands of Contact Lens!
So we have the famous GEO medical lens vs quite a new product Maxim Colors Contact.
Both from South Korea and of course, Geo medical lens have been around and have built a solid reputation.
Where else Maxim Colors have been making its way in the Asian market, especially in Thailand where its one of the most popular colored contact lens there!

Since I've both of them and had tried them on, I realised both of them are quite similar especially in color! At first when I was wearing them, I couldn't really tell what's the MAJOR difference of these 2 lenses.

The only concrete and visible evidence is that Maxim Colored Contact lens are more vibrant and the color is slightly lighter and a bit opaque, compare to Geo Nudy soul which is very much subtle and softer in color. Really, I couldn't really tell the difference that much!

Honestly, if you ask me now, I can't really tell which ones are my favorite, but I have to say since Maxim Contact Lens in Kiwi comes with a degree, I have no choice but to declare it a WINNER, because Geo Nudy Soul in Kiwi currently has no power (plano) and like I've mentioned earlier, I don't really like my colored lens in plano or with no degree cos its very blurry for me.

So I always bought my lens with a (-0.5) degree.

Maxim Contact Lens

So I've purchased the Maxim Contact Lens, the blue box series (Big Eyes) in kiwi and hazel!

My sis had influenced me to take care of my eyes and she constantly nagged of the "dangers" of wearing circle lens though I have to admit, I was more interested in what Maxim contact lens have to offer.

I guessed, one of the genuine reasons why I purchased them was because I needed to have an impulsive act of shopping with no particular reasons what so ever! Hehehe..

I tried to look around for any offers because apparently, the optical shop where my sis made her purchase cost about $24 per box and $46 if you grab 2 boxes! So, here I was planning to have my hair trimmed and I was making my way to Hougang One (in Singapore) and passed this shop, i Observation Houste Pte. Ltd at #01-11 and they had MAXIM colored lens, and what do you know, I was greeted with a smile and the sale person (optometrist) was extremely nice and helpful!

So I queried about the price of the Blue Box series and they quote $20.00 per box (currently on PROMOTION people!!!), and I went, OKAY, I will grab 2 boxes from you guys, NO hesitation at ALL... though I was hesitated on which brown should I grab - its either the hazel or cocoa.

Prior to that, I was already doing research on my own and I saw the comparison between these 2 colors, though I have to admit, I will rather opt for the "cocoa" since it looks much lighter compared to the hazel, but I guessed, since I will be out on hospital placement this January, I will rather go on a safer side and chose hazel. I don't want to make unnecessary attention to myself when I am seeing my patients.

I haven't try it yet! I will definitely open the kiwi next week! Can't wait to show off my new kiwi lens from Maxim Colored Lens!

Aniways, for those who are interested in Maxim Orange Box (bigger color eyes), they cost $25 per box!... :D
